The Change It Up research project is focused on reading motivation and engagement, comprehension, and the integration of digital tools. Elizabeth Swaggerty (ECU reading professor), Tanya Cannon (ECU reading instructor), Eiichi Murakami (ECU graduate assistant), and Kelley Bunn (Chocowinity Middle sixth grade teacher) comprise the research team. The current phase (phase 2) of the project is funded by East Carolina University, the Weyerhaueser Co., Partners in Education, and ECU Phi Delta Kappa.
